Benefits of Grapes For Skin


(1) Controls Fine Lines, Wrinkles, Dark Spots, and Prevents Premature Ageing.

Grapes are a good source of antioxidants like vitamin C which is very effective in reducing the signs of aging like wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots etc. and thus help in  controlling premature aging. This is because the antioxidants combat with the free radicals of our body and prevent it from free radical damage.

For anti-aging benefits of grapes, make a pulp of seedless grapes and rub it on your face in a circular motion, and then wash off with fresh water after 20 minutes. Regular use will make your wrinkles and fine lines disappear.

(2) Protection Against Sunburn

Grapes are very effective for treating sunburn and for protecting our skin from the harmful effects of the UV rays of the sun because of the number of antioxidants like vitamin C, proanthocyanidins, and resveratrol present in it.
Grape seed oil can be used as a sunscreen and can be applied to the skin for protecting our skin from the sun damage and for reducing the skin cells damage. Grape seed extracts are also used as an ingredient in many sunscreens.

To get rid of scars, sprinkle a tablespoon of alum and a tablespoon of salt on green grapes. Wrap them in a foil and bake for 15 minutes. Extract juice from the grapes and apply it on your face. Wash off after 15 minutes.  Following the treatment on a regular basis will lighten scars.

Black grapes are very useful for the people with oily skin as it helps in controlling the problem of excessive oil. For controlling excess oil, mash some black grapes and mix them with fuller’s earth ( Multani mitti) and add some rose. Make a thick paste and apply it on your face for 15 minutes. Wash off with water.  Regular use will make your face oil free.

(8) Good For Dry Skin

Grapes are also good for people with dry skin. For using grapes for dry skin, make a face mask by using grapes puree, avocado pulp, honey and rose water. Apply this mask on your face for 20 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Regular use will make your skin soft, moisturized and light in complexion.
